The Louisiana 25x’25 Renewable Energy Roundtable was held January 22, 2009, at the New Orleans Marriott. This event brought together leaders from state and city government, researchers from some of the state’s universities, and a “who’s who” of private sector leaders who are developing projects that will increase the production of biofuels, renewable electricity, and value-added bioproducts in the state. These leaders discussed the opportunities, challenges, and impacts associated with the use of forest and agricultural biomass and other clean technologies in the production of energy for electricity, transportation fuels, and other renewable energy applications.
